It works fine and does what I need, but I wouldn’t say it’s an amazing value for the price. What really bothers me is that the terms seem to keep changing, which makes it feel a bit frustrating as a customer. Overall, decent stuff, just a little pricey for what you get

I bought this Sabrent external drive enclosure and for the first couple of weeks it was totally fine. The speeds were decent enough for backups, not exactly impressive, but it did what I needed. The website made it sound like it would be reliable and straightforward, so I thought I was good.

Then it started randomly disconnecting in the middle of transfers, which got annoying fast. I tried different cables and USB ports just to rule that out, but it kept happening. It’s not completely useless, but with the website saying one thing and my experience being another, I’m kind of confused and don’t really trust it with anything important now

I picked up a Sabrent adapter and, for my setup anyway, it was straightforward. I just plugged it in and my laptop recognized it right away, so I didn’t have to mess around looking for drivers or doing any weird setup. It also seemed to work fine with my older drive, which I wasn’t totally sure would happen. I can’t really say how it’ll do with every system or drive, but I didn’t run into any major problems. Took off one star because the instructions could be a little clearer, but overall it did what I needed.

I was kind of surprised how fast it showed up. Shipping was super smooth, no issues at all, which was a nice little win.

I've been using this drive every day and it's still working just fine. It feels solid, and there's just something about it that makes it seem reliable. No issues so far.

They walked me through what to check, and after following their advice, the drive was working normally again.
